P-235: No Association of Endothelial Nitric Oxide Synthase (eNOS) -786T/C Polymorphism with Unexplained Recurrent Abortion in Iranian Women
Authors
Abstract:
Background: This is a case-control study to determine the relationship between endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) gene -786T/C polymorphism in women with unexplaiend recurrent abortion in comparison with healty women.Materials and Methods: 95 women with history of at least 2 unexplaiend recurrent abortion in the reproductive age range 20-35 years as patients group and 95 healty women (age-matched) who had at least one live birth and no history of abortion were chosen. Genotyping of eNOS -786T/C polymorphism was analyzed using polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) method. Results: Genotype frequencies of eNOS -786T/C polymorphism for the patient group were as follows TT(27.3%),TC (65.2%) and CC (7%) while in control group genotype were 37.8, 50.5 and 11.5%, respectively. Allele frequencies of the eNOS -786T/C polymorphism among patient and control groups were 0.60 and 0.63, respectively for the T allele and 0.40 and 0.36 respectively, for the C allele. Conclusion: Our result demonstrated no association between unexplaiend recurrent abortion and -786T/C polymorphism of eNOS gene in Iranian women.

Association of endothelial nitric oxide synthase gene G894T polymorphism with type two diabetes and diabetic nephropathy
Background: Nitric oxide (NO) produced by endothelial NO synthase (eNOS) mediates a large range of processes, and abnormality in the production of NO has been implicated in diabetic complications including diabetic nephropathy (DN). G894T polymorphism in the eNOS gene has been shown to decreased activity the NO levels of plasma. The association between eNOS Glu298Asp gene polymorphism and DN ri...
full textAssociation between HLA-E gene polymorphism and unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA) in Iranian women
BACKGROUND Human leukocyte antigen-E (HLA-E)is a non-classical major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I antigens which expressed on extra villous cytotrophoblast, which interacts with NKG2A, is an inhibitory receptor on natural killer (NK) cells and leading to down regulation of immune response in the maternal-fetal interface and provides maternal immune tolerance of the fetus. OBJECTIV...
full textassociation of endothelial nitric oxide synthase and mthfd1 polymorphisms with idiopathic recurrent pregnancy loss in iranian women
recurrent pregnancy loss (rpl) is a multifactorial disorder that remains idiopathic in 50% of the cases. the aim of this study was to investigate the association between mthfd1 as well as enos polymorphisms with idiopathic rpl. in a case-control study, 100 women with idiopathic recurrent pregnancy loss (prl) and 50 controls referred to noor laboratory, khoozestan, iran, were evaluated. genotypi...

abstract background: nitric oxide (no) is a molecule that incorporates in many physiological processes of female reproductive system. recent studies suggested the possible role of endothelial isoform of nitric oxide synthase (enos) enzyme in female infertility. objective: the aim of this study is to evaluate the expression of endothelial nitric oxide synthase in endometrial tissue of women with...
full textAssociation of Nitric Oxide Levels and Endothelial Nitric Oxide Synthase G894T Polymorphism with Coronary Artery Disease in the Iranian Population
PURPOSE The endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) G894T polymorphism has been reported to cause endothelial dysfunction and may have a role in the development of coronary artery disease (CAD). The aim of the present study was to investigate the association of eNOS G894T genetic polymorphism and plasma levels of nitric oxide (NO) with CAD risk in an Iranian population. MATERIALS AND METHODS...
full textP-157: TLR5 Gene Expression in Endometrium of Women with Unexplained Recurrent Spontaneous Abortion
Background: Recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA) is usually defined as three or more consecutive pregnancy losses before 20th week of gestation. Although different factors are considered as etiology of RSA but in some cases, despite of extensive work up, the cause of RSA remains unknown which called unexplained RSA. Immunological factors are suggested as etiological factors of unexplained RSA. ...
